Since September 2016 they have added to their staff a Special Needs Coordinator in an effort to allow preschoolers and toddlers to enjoy a preschool environment with the appropriate support that they may need. During the summer 2016 they also received a grant to allow them to establish a sensory room to be utilize when needed. Lisa Thielman, their special needs coordinator, has vast experience in early intervention. She works closely with the children, teachers, and parents to provide the best and most adequate services our children need.
They are the only private Preschool/Childcare in the Cherry Hill/ Voorhees area providing an inclusion program with staff support.

The Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates, Inc. (COPAA) is an independent, nonprofit, §501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization of attorneys, advocates, parents and related professionals. COPAA members work to protect the legal and civil rights of and secure excellence in education on behalf of tens of thousands of students with disabilities and their families each year at the national, state and local levels. COPAA focuses on the rights of children who receive special education services and supports, and who are eligible to be served under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and other statutes. This includes working to ensure that children with disabilities receive a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). COPAA endeavors to improve the quality and quantity of legal assistance for parents of children with disabilities. COPAA does not represent individual parents but provides a network to assist, train, and inform advocates, attorneys, parents, and related professionals. The Cultural Access Network Project is a co-sponsored program of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. The Project provides a wide range of services and programs to assist theatres and cultural organizations in making their programs and facilities accessible to seniors and people with disabilities.

The programs of the Cultural Access Network Project are guided by a volunteer steering committee representing arts patrons, state and county officials, arts administrators, and managers from organizations serving people with disabilities.

Family Support Organization of Cumberland, Gloucester & Salem Counties is a non-profit organization supporting, educating and advocating for families whose children have emotional, behavioral or mental health challenges in Cumberland, Gloucester & Salem counties. They work as a team with the Care Management Organization (CMO) to help support, educate and advocate for families who have children with mental, emotional & behavioral challenges. They are also a resource center for information & contacts. As the Children’s System of Care has recently included children with developmental disabilites and substance abuse, CGS Family Support Organization has been active in developing expertise they can offer these families while on their journey. They provide trainings, workshops, guest speakers & other events that inform and empower their families on an individual and group basis. They also advocate for families as a whole within the various systems which include Justice, Department of Youth & Family Services (DYFS), Mental Health & Education. They strive to ensure that the family voice is heard at all levels.

Ballroom dance is a wonderful way for those with autism to socialize and learn a new skill. Dance Haddonfield is now offering ballroom dance lessons for autistic young adults, Wednesdays at the Grace Church Performance Hall, 19 East Kings Highway, Haddonfield, from 5 to 5:40. The lessons are given by Gene LaPierre, who is an expert in this area, and on the faculty of Rowan University. The price is $10 for each attendee; 10 admissions can be purchased for $90. Prior registration is not necessary; you can pay at the door.
They work with NeurAbilities, http://www.neurabilities.org , a non-profit organization formed in 2008 to enhance and support the lives of individuals and their families afflicted by neurological and related disorders. Their goal is to transform the lives of people with neurological disorders through arts, education and research.
They have initial funding from M&T Bank, and Grace Church has generously provided the space free of charge. We are also working with Ballroom Dancing for a Better U, http://www.bd4bu.org, a non-profit that brings ballroom dance to those who would otherwise be unable to experience it.
