Burlington County Family Support Organization is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 organization and an independent partner in New Jersey's Department of Children and Families System of Care.

The Family Support Organization also serves the community by offering free parenting enhancement workshops, support groups, assists parents in obtaining help for their child in our System of Care and in schools, peer support, education, and advocacy for families raising children with developmental disabilities, emotional, behavioral, and/or mental health challenges.

They provide intensive Face-to Face support to families in the Care Management Organization and caregivers at the place and time that is most convenient for them. They also provide support by phone, in case a visit is not convenient for the family. They attend Child Family Team Meetings, Individual Education Plan meetings, and other pertinent meetings regarding the family.

They provide education to their families and communities. They educate families on an individual basis as needed. They provide support groups and workshops on topics that address the needs of their families.

They provide advocacy in many forums. On an individual basis, they advocate for their families' needs. In addition, they advocate for families as a whole within the various systems which include Juvenile Justice, DYFS, Mental Heath, Education, and Medicaid. They also advocate at the State and Federal levels. They attend pertinent meetings and hearings. They ensure that the “Family Voice” is heard at all levels.
